Humans and technology in the service of liver, pancreas and biliary surgery. The BOPA innovation chair invents, develops and deploys digital solutions — artificial intelligence and digital twins — to improve the quality and safety of care in the operating room.
The mission
Improving the quality and safety of care in hepato-bilio-pancreatic surgery, guided by three principles that shape every project.
Digital solutions co-designed and validated by the OR care teams.
Tools that integrate with hospital information systems.
An ethical approach, financially responsible and low-carbon.
BOPA 2 · 2025-2030
Improving care at every stage of surgery: before, during and after the operation.
Help patients understand their surgery and decide with their surgeon: the LiverSight and PancreasSight apps, digital twins.
From the black box to assistance: BOPCAM, the augmented operative report, and the AI agents Jacky and Henri for care teams.
Support and measure: the Colette chatbot for transplant patients, PROMs/PREMs indicators, causal analysis of outcomes.
