The Hepato-Biliary Center (CHB)
A centre of hospital-university excellence for 30 years, France's leading centre for liver transplantation and HPB surgery.

Each year: 180 hepatectomies, 50 pancreatectomies and 200 transplants. A multidisciplinary department — surgeons, hepatologists, intensive-care specialists — working with radiologists and oncologists, for 500 HPB cancers a year.
The chair's places
- A 158 m² space provided by Paul-Brousse Hospital, with a mock operating room reproducing the CHB's infrastructure: every innovation is tested there before being validated in real conditions.
- BOPEX — BOPA's third place (created in 2023), where innovations are developed and tested.
- BOPTECH — the technology platform (created in 2025), close to the OR, dedicated to image-guided surgery, endoscopy and HPB oncology.
- At the CHB, thanks to BOPA: a hybrid room and a perfusion machine.
